Where the money goes.

The event is run entirely by volunteers. After costs, the profit goes to the two Lions clubs' charity funds and is spent locally, helping people in need across the Forest of Dean.

How the charity works

Everything people ask.

Still stuck? Email support@lionsfireworks.org.uk — we read every one.

What time does it all happen?

Gates open at 16:00, the bonfire is lit at 17:00, the fireworks begin at 18:30, and the event closes by 21:00. Please arrive within the time slot shown on your ticket so the queue keeps moving.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The display goes ahead in almost all weather. If conditions ever force us to postpone, we will email every ticket-holder and honour tickets for the rearranged night.

Is there parking?

Yes — one ticket admits one car, and parking is included. Stewards direct you on arrival. Pedestrians are welcome too; choose the "Pedestrian" option when booking.

Can I bring my dog?

We strongly recommend leaving dogs at home. Fireworks are loud and most dogs find the evening distressing.

Can I buy tickets on the gate?

Only if we have not sold out beforehand, and by card only. Booking ahead is the safest way to guarantee entry.

Where do the profits go?

The event is run entirely by volunteers from two Lions clubs. After costs, the profit goes to the clubs' charity funds and is spent locally helping people in need.
